They purposely delay payment processing to keep collecting interest on the accounts and they do not abide by what they send in writing. We will never finance again with Toyota and I warn others to stay away from them. Toyota financial are thieves, liars and they have incompetent staff. We don't even know if we can still purchase a home as planned. My credit is ruined as well as my husband's. The account was officially closed and that I needed to dispute it with the credit department. She said she felt bad, she would speak to the resolutions manager to see if they would help remove the derogatory mark because obviously we were making several payments within weeks of each of them, and when she came back she said her resolutions manager said she could not and would not help me. Then they said I had to pay the remainder 76 dollars. We paid the car off 3/31 and they still reported us derogatory. The letter stated we had until April 15th before negative reports would incur. Agent told me that I was obviously misquoted and that we in fact were already reported as derogatory and that she could obviously see that we had in fact made payments on time as well as double payments for February and March and had even attempted to settle the account in full. My husband is not available to speak to anyone due to his line of work and I handle all calls. But lied and said she had spoke with my husband. I called back again and asked how could this be when we paid what was quoted and the new agent was very nice, reviewed my account and said she was going to read the last agent notes. They delayed processing the payment for a few days and then sent us a letter stating we still owed 76 dollars and that due to this we will be reported derogatory and repossession would be done if not paid in full by 4/15. I went online and posted the payoff amount quoted. I lost my mind and asked if the differed payments were past due, why were we marked as paid on time for February she stated that as long as we paid by April 15th we would not be reported as derogatory. I asked how could that be and she stated that all differed payments needed to be paid in April upon closure of the contract and that the deferred payments were now being reported as past due. When the second agent spoke to me she was very rude and said that the contract was due to expire in April and that April was the final month payment was due in full.
